What Are Aging Spots?

The face, neck, decolletage and hands are the parts of our body that are most visible. The skin on the back of the hands is inherently quite thin and, as it ages, it becomes virtually translucent and is often marked by aging spots. This can give our hands an aged and skeletonized appearance. Topical therapies – sunblock, moisturizers and retinols – can help combat some of these inevitable changes with the aging hands. The use of Broad band light (BBL) can virtually remove all aging spots and improve the overall texture and tone of the skin. Fillers can also be used to plump the dorsal hand to seamlessly achieve a more youthful appearance.
